Our Principal – Mr Daniel Gooding

Welcome to Kilsyth Primary School!

I am very proud to have the privilege of leading this wonderful school community.  Together with a great team of teachers and support staff, I continually strive to provide the best possible learning opportunities for our students.

Thank you for taking the time to view our website.  I hope it provides you with a clear insight into our school and our community.

Our key focus at Kilsyth Primary School is meeting the needs of every student in our care.  We are very proud of the excellent programs we have in place and the achievements of our students.   We centre our approach knowing every child, finding the right balance of challenge and support and providing opportunities for them to engage in the most effective learning experiences possible.

As a school focussed on the future we draw on a wide variety of technologies in innovative ways to enable our students to Create – high quality evidence of learning;  Collaborate – with peers and experts from around the world both face to face and online; Contribute – to their community in real and relevant ways; and Connect – with the school, with the broader community, and with their own learning.  Our teachers provide positive and inclusive learning environments in which Literacy and Numeracy are both taught explicitly and drawn upon to develop real world, usable skills that will prepare our students for life in the globalised world of the 21st Century.

One of the greatest strengths of our school is our sense of community.  Over recent years we have used a ‘Tribes’ approach to build a sense of belonging and inclusiveness at our school.  Whether it be through our lunchtime activity clubs, our Active After School Communities program, Wakakirri or school production or other co-curricular programs there is an opportunity for your child to become an active participant in school life.  High levels of parental involvement in all aspects of the school and our regular family based activities further strengthen relationships and partnerships between home and school.  Coupled with our focus on providing for the needs of 21st Century learners, this sense of community underpins our approach at Kilsyth Primary School.  High Expectations and Authentic Relationships are what drive us to

Be the best you can be.

If you would like more information about our school, our values, our innovative approaches or our active school community I encourage you to explore our website, follow us on Facebook and Twitter and most importantly give us a call or stop by to visit.  We look forward to speaking with you soon.
